Kaitlyn Hoyer is a Florida native with a passion for “The Real Florida” coined by the Florida State Parks. Pursuing a degree in Marketing at the University of Florida, Kaitlyn has enjoyed the beautiful wildlife that Gainesville has to offer, whether its Lake Alice or Paynes Prairie State Park. Kaitlyn believes that learning about our environment is the first step to creating a connection with the outdoors, with her own spark for learning starting with Saturday morning birdwatching in a kids’ Audubon group. Aligning her passions for business and conservation, Kaitlyn develops promotional material and other work to ignite, inform, and inspire others to take action and make change. When not in school or at work, Kaitlyn is probably camping with her family, listening to the Beatles, or exploring Florida with her best friends. She enjoys rare cloudy days, and loves a good sunrise with a cup of coffee. Kaitlyn served as MAR's Social Media and Marketing Intern during Summer 2025.
